Running factory tours without loudspeakers: a practical guide for plant managers

Noisy floors, large groups, several languages: wireless tour headsets let your guide speak normally and still be heard by everyone. Here's how to set it up.

Why factory tours are hard to hear

Anyone who has led a group across a production floor knows the scene: machines running, the guide raising their voice, and only the front row actually hearing anything. People at the back guess from gestures, ask each other what was said, or crowd forward to listen — exactly what you don't want near moving machinery and forklifts.

Megaphones and portable PA speakers don't really solve it either: to rise above the machines they have to be very loud, which disturbs the people working on the line, and visitors further back still struggle to hear.

  • Noise: you can't stop the line just to run a tour.
  • Group size: customers, partners, auditors, new hires, students.
  • Mixed languages: foreign visitors, expats and Vietnamese staff in the same group.
  • Safety: visitors must hear safety instructions clearly and keep their distance from equipment.

The fix: wireless tour headsets

Your guide speaks into a microphone (through a mixer) or another audio source plugged into the transmitter, and every visitor hears it directly through an over-ear headset. No megaphone, no shouting, and people at the back of the group hear just as well as those in front.

SSounds headsets have 3 channels, and an LED on each headset shows the channel colour (red, blue, green). On a tour that's genuinely useful: split visitors into 3 groups on 3 routes, or run 3 languages side by side. A coordinator can check at a glance that everyone is on the right channel.

  • Up to 300 m range from the transmitter.
  • 10 hours of continuous use per charge — a full day of visits — recharged via USB-C.
  • One transmitter serves an unlimited number of headsets; each transmitter carries one channel.
  • We supply the equipment, not interpreters; you provide a guide or interpreter for each language.

A simple workflow for HR, EHS and Sales teams

Each team uses tours differently, but the workflow is much the same.

  1. Define the group and the route

Sales hosting customers, HR onboarding new hires, EHS running safety briefings or hosting auditors. Note the headcount, number of groups, languages and the route.

  2. Send us your request

Tell us how many headsets, how many channels, the dates and the site. We send a quote, sign a service contract if you need one, and take the deposit.

  3. Receive the kit and test before visitors arrive

We deliver to your site, or you collect in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. Walk the full route, check the noisiest areas, and try the headsets together with your plant's hard hats and ear protection.

  4. Hand out, guide, collect

Hand out headsets and set channels by group at the assembly point, collect them at the end and recharge for the next group. When you return the kit, we count it and refund the deposit within 24 hours.

Rent by the day or by the month?

For a single visit or a one-off audit, daily rental makes sense: 200,000 VND per headset per day, with lower unit prices for packs of 10 or more. If you host visitors regularly or run a long training programme, a monthly rental is more economical: 1,200,000 VND per headset for 30 days. For larger quantities or longer terms, we'll put together a project quote.

Prices exclude 8% VAT and delivery. Transmitters are free on request, up to 3 per order; the deposit is 200,000 VND per headset.

  • VAT invoices issued to your company.
  • Service contract available for your procurement and finance teams.
  • Delivery to your site, Da Nang included; contact us for other provinces.
  • Optional on-site technician: 200,000 VND per hour.

FAQ

Will the headsets cover a large plant?

Range is up to 300 m from the transmitter. Every building is different, so walk the full route as a test before your first tour.

Can we run three languages at once?

Yes. Each transmitter carries one channel, up to 3 channels, and visitors pick their channel on the headset. We supply equipment only; you provide the guides or interpreters.

Do the headsets work with hard hats?

It depends on your plant's hard hats and PPE. We recommend trying them with your actual equipment before visitors arrive and letting your EHS team decide.

Do you issue VAT invoices and contracts?

Yes. We issue VAT invoices to companies and sign a service contract when needed. Prices exclude 8% VAT.
